About temos

Why Temos?

One size does not fit all. In this way, Temos developed tailor-made accreditation programs with specific standards for hospitals, clinics, and outpatient care centers, but also for ophthalmology, dentistry, reproductive medicine, and rehabilitation services.

We care about you. Our very strong customer care team accompanies throughout the accreditation process and provide you with guidance to understand the standards and work on them as a team. Our customer care team is always available via email, phone, and online meetings to answer questions and provide guidance if needed. Our unique online tools support your preparation through a catalogue of questions and a gap analysis.

We care about the environment. Temos is the only accreditation body that included a standard chapter on “sustainability in healthcare settings” based on the United Nations 2030 sustainable development goals.

Our vision

Temos International’s vision is to promote excellence in patient management and a healthy and safe working environment through good governance, transparency, sustainability, and continuous quality improvement, resulting in the best possible patient care, outcome, and experience.
Through our professional assessments, we want to make sure that Temos-accredited healthcare facilities are:

  • Trusted by patients for the safety and service quality of the facilities

  • Prevention over-correction
Temos seeks to design good processes to achieve excellent outcomes rather than fix processes after the fact.

our story

Founded in 2010, Temos International Healthcare Accreditation helps hospitals, clinics, and medical travel coordinators find their highest performance levels. Accredited clients deliver excellent, value-based services to domestic and international patients. By working collaboratively, Temos encourages innovation and avoids the “one size fits all” approach to accreditation which does not work across cultures for providers or patients. Instead, with its deep understanding of universal standards of quality and cultural differences in expectations around the patient experience, Temos raises clinical standards, improves clinical and non-clinical outcomes and patient safety, and reduces costs for overall client satisfaction.

The purpose of the Temos accreditation is to neutrally assess, evaluate and validate the quality of medical and non-medical services, to identify potential for improvements, and to optimize medical quality as well as the quality of services in the Applying Organization with the overall aim to assure a continuum of care for patients. With regional offices spread worldwide, the German-based Temos International serves providers and patients on six continents.
