Healthcare experts added to support accreditation services

NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND, 28 FEBRUARY 2018 - Medical Tourism Training announces the addition of two new members to its team, Dr. Jesus D. Ortiz and Mr. Edward C. Stephenson.
The team has been expanded to support the recent collaboration between Medical Tourism Training and Temos International. Temos International, a German-based organization that accredits healthcare providers and medical travel coordinators, recently appointed Medical Tourism Training as its exclusive representative for the United States, Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America.

According to Elizabeth Ziemba, President of Medical Tourism Training, “To expand our capacity to introduce the Temos brand of accreditation programs for hospitals, clinics, and facilitators, I am delighted to say that I am joined by two trusted, experienced healthcare colleagues. Both Jesus Ortiz and Ed Stephenson know the importance of the patient experience in international medical travel. They realize the value of the Temos accreditation program that assesses clinical as well as non-clinical aspects of medical tourism”.

Dr. Ortiz has a distinguished career as a medical doctor as an Anesthesiologist and most recently as the Medical Director of Miramar Medical Center, Miramar, Florida. From 2010-2014, Dr. Ortiz owned and operated OrbiCare, a medical travel facilitation company, giving him first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by the sector. Jesus has extensive contacts and connections in healthcare throughout the Central and South American market with a deep understanding of the Latin American style of doing business.
Mr. Stephenson brings more than thirty years’ experience in healthcare including program development, strategic planning, administration and management consulting. He has held executive positions in public and private sector organizations. In the Caribbean, Ed has consulted with numerous healthcare professionals, hospitals and government agencies in achieving their specific goals and objectives for raising the quality of their programs, services and equipment. With his extensive contacts throughout the Caribbean and his focus on clinical quality and strong leadership, Mr. Stephenson’s career embodies the core principles of Temos – trust, effective medicine, optimized services.

“Temos accreditation is the perfect affordable solution for hospitals and clinics that treat international patients. Accreditation can improve the quality of services, save money through greater efficiencies, and raise brand visibility while attracting more patients”, says Ms. Ziemba. “Our team looks forward to working with providers who focus on quality throughout the entire patient experience”.
